This 5 class series takes a step by step approach to understanding the foundations of Mindfulness and Meditation. In each session, students can expect instruction, guided practice, and time for Q & A. 

Intro to Mindfulness Meditation is appropriate for those brand new to practice, and for those looking for a refresher course.

The course is offered in both group and private session format.

Intro to Mindfulness Meditation

Course Guide

 What do we do in a session?

All 5 Sessions are 75 minutes in length.

Not to worry! We won’t be engaged in seated meditation for that long!

Sessions incorporate lecture, theory & discussion interspersed with mindfulness and meditation techniques as well as actual “Sits”.

What’s a “Sit”?

A Sit, is any period of time you’re engaged in quieting your mind. That quieting provides the environment for the mind to open up to more perspective.

And that’s what you’re here for, right?!

As this is an intro course, we’re working up to a 20 minute “Sit” time over the course of all 5 session meetings. For example, we’ll begin with manageable sit times of 2, 5 , and 10 minutes then gradually work towards the goal of meditating for 20 minutes. Sitting in a chair is recommended.
